Everything, side by side
What I do, and what it costs
Four services. Prices published, because I'd rather you know roughly what you're walking into than get a number at the end of a sales visit.
Trimming and stump grinding both start at $250. Hazardous limb and storm work starts at $500. Removals are quoted per tree, because access matters more than size and the honest range is too wide to publish. Haul-away is included in all of it.
Tree Trimming & Pruning
Pruning is the only thing I do that makes a tree measurably better instead of just smaller. It's also the easiest thing in this trade to do badly, and the damage doesn't show up for years.
Tree Removal
This is the one service I'd rather talk you out of. A mature shade tree in Central Texas took fifty years to get that size and can't be replaced in your lifetime, so it's worth being sure.
Stump Grinding
The least glamorous thing I do and the one people are most consistently glad they finally dealt with.
Hazardous Limbs & Storm Damage
This is the work I started in. An ice storm in 2008 turned the region I lived in into a federal disaster area, and I spent that winter cutting my neighbors' driveways open with a pawn shop chainsaw.
Why I publish prices when nobody else does
Every tree company in Central Texas makes you request a quote. I understand why — the range genuinely is wide, and a number without context can look wrong. But it also wastes your afternoon and mine when we were never in the same ballpark.
So the starting numbers are up there. They're where jobs start, not averages and not caps. If your job is bigger than that I'll tell you why before I do anything, and this page explains what actually moves the number.
When the job is the hard version
Some removals can't be felled and can't be dropped in pieces — a hillside lot with no working ground, a tree over a roof or a pool, a drive too narrow for the chipper. Every piece comes down on a rope instead, which is hours rather than minutes and is why quotes on those jobs vary so wildly between companies. Here's how that work is priced, and the four questions worth asking anybody before they start.
What's included either way
Cleanup and haul-away. Branches, limbs, debris, all of it gone when I leave, and it isn't a line item added at the end. If you want logs kept back for firewood, tell me before we start and my crew will stack them instead of chipping them.
Not sure which one you need?
Text me a photo. Half the time I can tell you from the picture, and that costs you nothing.
Same-day callback on estimates
Call or text before 5pm on a weekday and you'll hear back from me the same day. Not an answering service — me.
