Why I'd rather talk you out of a removal

A mature live oak in Central Texas took fifty years to get that size. I can take it down in a morning and neither of us can put it back. So when somebody calls me about removing a tree, the first question I'm asking myself is whether it actually needs to go, and I'll tell you if I don't think it does.

That costs me work in the short run, and I'd still rather you kept a tree that has another thirty years in it.

What the credentials actually are

Being straight about this, because the industry isn't. I have an ISA Certified Arborist on my crew — that's a real qualification with an exam and continuing education behind it. I'm not personally ISA certified. That's a real distinction and you should know which one you're getting.

I'm insured. Ask me for the certificate and I'll send it — and ask any tree company you're considering for theirs, because an uninsured crew working over your roof is your problem, not theirs.

How the work actually goes

You call or text me, ideally with a photo. I'll tell you what I think it needs, and often I can price it from the picture. If I need to see it, the estimate is free and doesn't come with a pitch.

Most jobs happen within days of the estimate. I show up when I said I would, the saws are clean, and the yard is clear when I leave.
